I need a very good printer. One that will print photos very well. I know Cannon and Espon make good ones but I am sure thier are better ones out there like industial ones. I need something that I could use a scanner print something, scan another rinse and repeat.

Or would it just be more wise for me to get a photo copier ? I need it to lock exactley like the original!

Thanks for your help in advance guys !

Really depends on what you want. There are multifunction products out there capable of photographic reproduction. Some have card readers and faxing as well. Also depends on what you want to spend.

Everyone will have THEIR favorites but what you need to do is grab a photo and some photo paper, go to your local retailer, and then try them out. Find what best fits your needs (and not the salesmans either). Just keep in mind that if the colors are way off, the print cartridge probably need changed.

That said, many are capable of photographic reproduction but some will create copies with a yellowed and redish shade to them. I'd say you should be looking in the $200 - $400 dollar range for one with good scanning capability. I would NOT get a photo copier as they are good for little else and their supplies tend to be more expensive.

Just make sure you get some good quality photo paper. Not the cheap thin crud. It really should be about 9 or 10 mils in thickness. Good paper can make a world of difference.

What did you decide??

It often ends up a question of how much you have to spend

The Epson 2200 [$600] is my sweet spot with the recent drops, but the new sp 4000 [about $1k] is REALLY nice.

My 2cents...
