Best Processor For Budget FreeNAS?

I'm Looking At 200-300$ System For FreeNAS. I Don't Need Harddrives. So Suggest A Good Config For FreeNAS In This Budget

many years since used freenas. check freenas forums re suggested builds. almost anything will work including re-purposed, obsolete machines. that is where i would go for playing around if data loss not important.

if data loss is important need working ups, full backup of everything on zpool. search freenas forums for data loss. power blip can cause total loss data. have seen emergency generator recommended years ago.

after couple losses of everything built 2nd freenas unit powered on only for manual backups. third loss caused switch to unraid as it is much more tolerant of power blips, limited mechanical failure. last 8-10 years uneventful. no data loss. survived catastrophic loss 1 unit as everything backed up on 2nd unit. survived...
