Best PSU for configuration

Hi I would like to choose a PSU for my configuration:

i7 2600k
ASUS P8P67 PRO
Corsair Vengeance Blu 8 GB PC3-12800 1600mHz
XFX ATI Radeon HD6870 1 GB
Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB
Intel 320 160GB SSD (no sure yet)

the dilemma is between:

Go 2500K for sure. 2600K is barely better, much more expensive, and will be way better than your GPU.
A good 500 should cover it, I think.

If its a mainly gaming build then surely grab the i5 2500k instead. The 100$ saved can get you a 6950 or 560 Ti. As for the PSU, keep it above 500 watt from either Corsair, Antec, Seasonic or XFX (most of them are originally Seasonic anyway).

For me the difference between i5 and i7 are 50$ so I think it worth the investment. 560 ti is only 50-60$ add on so I'll do that, thanks.

About the PSU, from the 3 links I can take the cheapes, OCZ 550W will be enough?

Corsair PSU's are of far better quality compared to OCZ. Ideally, you should not skimp on a PSU to save bucks. But have it your way. The OCZ unit should work fine for your rig. You can find it for lesser on newegg (after rebates) -

So I decided to go with Corsair Enthusiast Series 650. But now can't decide between 6950 or 560 Ti.
There both priced the same more or less and the benchmarks are similar. I'm going to use the card with Dell U2711, maybe someone can recommend which card is better for that monitor.

You already know that they perform similarly. So getting either of them will be great. If you can get the 6950 2GB then you can unlock it to a 6970. Just get the cheaper one.

couldnt be further from the truth. Not ALL corsair models are great, and OCZ make VERY good PSU's for the money, most get good/great reviews by reputable reviewers.

Just consider it as an option or as an extra feature. Somewhat like physx on Nvidia cards.

It's only an option if you can do it. It could certainly be done on earlier batches of the card but I thought that ATI had restricted the ability to re-flash on later ones. If that's the case, then it's not an option at all unless you can tell before sale whether or not it can be done on that card in particular.

Am not advertising the HD 6950 for its unlocking abilities. The card has enough performance to be recommended for a purchase. Additionally they crossfire pretty good also. Same is the story with the GTX 560 Ti. Like I said before, either of them will be good. So just get the cheaper one.
