Solution
I would get the Seasonic Prime for the 12 year warranty
the EVGA is awesome as well but only carries a 10year warranty
both are among the best
if warranty is not your thing get the cheapest
they are both the right answer for a lower demand system

FOR your system look to a 1KW units. the draw will keep both PSU's running at near capacity. I want a little more reserve wattage.

why 1k isnt 850 enough for 2 gpu in sli ?

am also not planning to sli any time soon am sure everyone knows why lol

the closer to the max a PSU runs the hotter it runs (740 of 850W), the hotter it runs the faster the fans, the faster the fans the louder it is.
a 1KW unit will give 2.5X the power in reserve than the 850 add any wattage from any USB or other power draw not in the case and 110W is not a lot in reserve.

even in my old feeble system I have over 200W reserve which keeps the unit mostly passive.

would my electricity bill go up though if that 200 dosnt get used ? and currently i have a rx 550

no the power supply will only draw what the PC needs at any given moment, when gaming the draw will increase and the PSU will draw more to make the power. (AC/DC conversion)

at idle the system may only draw 200 watts, but during gaming that could easily quadruple.

You would be amazed how many people think that it will consume its maximum rated output all the time.
if the PC needs 350 watts a gold rated 1000W supply will draw 385W from the wall to make the 350W. when the system needs 740W the power supply will draw 814W from the wall. (assuming 90% efficiency)

oh ok so is like the ratings like gold plat and titani etc like ddr4 ram after a certain number diminishing returns it is worth it to get a titanium or platinum over a gold ?

also lest say i get the 850 could i see constant crashing if the computer dosnt get enough power

not with these units unless they are defective. they are good units and can even provide more than 850 for brief moments.
when the system is at max draw (740W), the 850W will be working harder and making more heat/noise than the 1000W.
platinum and titanium will draw less power from the wall than a lower rated unit as they each are more efficient and produce less waste heat.

is it worth it for the savings to get a plat or titanium ?
also if i dont plan to sli right now but just one card is the 850 good enough ? or should i get a 1000 knowing that i will sli at some point ?

found this one https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151195&cm_re=seasonic_power_supply_1000w-_-17-151-195-_-Product i think it is the same as the 850 but more watts

for one card 850W is the ticket.
the platinum or titanium question really depends on what you pay for power. over the life of the PSU the savings from the wall may make the titanium the choice, again it depends on the price for power and the differences in price.
If you know that you will run dual cards, get the 1kW. they all will have at least a 10 year warranty replacement is a decade away. I like to divide the price by warranty length. the seasonic is more expensive but carries 2 more years making the price per year covered lower.
T2 850W 199.00 or 19.90 a year
seasonic TD 850 is 219.00 or 18.25 a year
I was trying to keep near the budget of these two and the rm1000i has a 10 year warranty and is 18.90 per year
the titanium and platinum 1000W are a bit more pricey than the 1000W gold.

is a good platinum rated 1000W that is near the inital 850W units costs
