Not too bright when it comes to PC building but have built a pretty decent rig (thanks to google) and I have recently upgraded my Mobo and CPU, I would like to buy a new Graphics card and PSU, I already know what GPU I want but I am not too sure about the PSU.

Here are my specs:

[
Processor:
Intel® Core™ i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Manufacturer Intel
Speed 4.0 GHz
Number of Cores 8
CPU ID BFEBFBFF000306C3

Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
Manufacturer NVIDIA
Chipset GeForce GTX 780
Dedicated Memory 3.0 GB
Total Memory 4.0 GB
Pixel Shader Version 5.0
Vertex Shader Version 5.0
Hardware T & L Yes

Memory (RAM):
16 GB

Operating System:
Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Service Pack 1
Size 64 Bit
]

I should also add the new Mobo is an Asus Maximum VII Hero (ROG LGA1150 Intel Z97 ATX Intel Motherboard) and that I plan to get a new GPU with 4 GB dedicated memory (purely for gaming), I plan to get a new 780 but may get a 970 if I can get a good deal.

I already have a PSU which works but I can't help the feeling that I should upgrade it (using my current one for 3 years). I am not too bright about PSU so what exactly should I look out for? What is the perfect amount of Watts, amp and so on and how do I search for a PSU compatible with my build (if there is such a thing).

So I checked my PSU specs, unfortunately I must have thrown away the box that had I bought with it but I did manage to gather limited info from PSU itself it seems to be pretty decent. Here are the specs:

[
Brand = Cooler Master
700W (at least I think so it just has "700" in a larger size than the other text)

(the following was in a table format so I have separated them from the previous)
AC input = 110-240V~, 10-6A, 60-50Hz
DC output= +3.3V, +5V, +12v, -12V, +5VSB
Max output= 25A, 25A, 53A, 0.5A, 2.5A
]

It seems to be good but I am not so sure of the brand, should I just stick with this one or get one from a better brand.

Edit: Forgot to add ATX 12V V2.3, Active PFC (don't know that this means but it was above the table on my PSU and it may be important).

There are some good Cooler Masters, but given that your PSU is 3 years old, it's not one of that limited number of good ones (the Seasonic-made V series). Definitely follow i7baby's link to the tier list and look for something 600W and up.
