[SOLVED] Best raid for 4 drives @ 4TB each WD reds? Capacity plus some security

I have an asus P8Z68-V Pro Mobo and I want to raid 4 drives usinging intels radis storage technology included with the mobo. Whats the best raid for this. I want to optimize storage with some redudency. Using WD reds

I did wrote RAID 5. But I had replies that RAID 5 has disadvantages. You can google and see them yourself. Only advantage it has is capacity so that you will have 3/4 of the actual diskspace. Go with RAID 1 + 0. You will have half of the diskspace but it is pretty easier to replace a disk when needed.

"Security" is done with real backups, not RAID of any type.

RAID is for physical drive redundancy, not data redundancy.
