Question Best Ram for 3600x

So i am getting a Ryzen 5 3600x with a b450 MSI Tomohawk Max and the board supports 3600 ram but cpu maxes at 3200 ram. So i would have to go with 3200 ram and use xmp profile in msi bios to get that right ? or is there a way i can use 3600 ram unless that is too much, please advice

Find a 3600MHz two sticks RAM kit that is on the QVL of your motherboard and on the RAM website supported motherboard list and you should be able to XMP to 3600MHz with a 3600x and that board.

I tried and didn't have any luck can u do it for me plz. My cpu is 3600x ryzen 5, msi tomahawk max b450, and and ideally 16gb (2x8) i looked on trident website and input my info and it gave me 3200 max but my cpu only does3200 max but mobo does more than that please help

The RAM speed listed for the CPU is just the standard supported RAM speed for that processor. It can support faster memory though, and DDR4-3600 is likely to run fine on a Ryzen 3600X. You'll just need to enable the XMP profile for that speed in the BIOS once its installed.

Ah do you think its worth the extra 20 for g skill trident z 3600 16cl or a 100 dollar 3200 cl16 kit for a 3600x on a msi tomahawk max b450

the single best speed for Ryzen 3x00X on a X570 is 3733 at CAS 17. 3600 CAS 16 and 3200 CAS-14 are just a step behind that
