Hi,
Someone mentioned on this forum that certain brands of RAM don't function well on Ryzen CPUs, running slower than they should. Corsair Vengeance was the RAM I was thinking of buying for my new build but it seems that may be problematic.
Is this true, and if so what brand of RAM should I buy for my new build with Ryzen 7 3700x CPU?
Thanks.

Any of the kits listed here will work with that MB:

If you want non-RGB RAM either if these would work well:

Is there any particular reason G.Skill is a good choice, over say Corsair Vengeance or Crucial Ballistics?

If you want to use Crucial RAM look on their Memory finder and see what EXACT ram kits will work with whatever MB you buy.
https://www.crucial.com/store/advisor

As for that G.Skill RAM you linked to, the more expensive kit has a lower CL ( CL14-14-14-34) vs the cheaper C16 kit (CL16-18-18-38).
Lower CL is faster (has a lower Latency).
But, honestly most people will never notice the difference except in memory benchmarks.

I personally have C16 G.Skill Ripjaw V RAM in my 3700x rig and I am very happy with it.
And I have this kit (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) that you linked to in my 2600 rig:

Yeah that G.Skill ram looks good, but unfortunately it's not in stock til mid december... What do you think of this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B083VMSY1B/ref=twister_B08HVVMD3J
If it's not good I'll see if I can get the G.Skill from another site.

EDIT: Found it on another site. :D
