OCZ PC3200 Enhanced Latency (rated 2-3-2-6)
MSI 865PE Neo-2 Platinum Edition

Current: 460MHz 2-4-4-8 2.8v

Best: 470MHz 2-4-4-8 2.8v (not stable)

For some reason my mother board won't change the CAS even if I manually set it to 2.5 or 3. I don't know if that would help me much.

i don't understand 4-4-4-15 or so.
what does that mean in speed?
i can't find it on the web. i know that if you have 570 and 800 MHz that 800 is better but i dont understand those 5-5-5-15 or so :? ....

It's the memory timings, or CAS latency. Look it up on Wikipedia for a lengthy explanation. :)

I've never really tried to hard but my Patriot DDR2 667 4-4-4-12 1.8 volt got up to DDR2 1000 @ I think 5-4-4-12 @ 2.4 volt. Didn't run any mem tests but it worked fine in windows.

2 gb Corsair ValueSelect PC5300

Stock: 667 mhz 5-5-5-15 1.8v

OC'ed: 1000 mhz 6-6-6-12 2.1v

I know the timings are low, but it's still a pretty good OC for value ram.

4gbs of Crucial 10 year anniversary.

Stock is 667mhz 3 3 3 12

I am running at 1000mhz 4 4 4 5 at just 2.25volts and passing memtest overnight
8O

Yep thats the way I feel about it  To bad it was only a limited offer from crucial. I purchased 4gigs of it from newegg.com for only $440.

My best friend on the other hand paid a whopping $460 for 2gigs of G.skill Ram rated at 1000mhz 4 4 4 5 and his memory takes more vcore to get it stable at that speed than mine

I believe my ram is the same more or less...the anniversary was just a different heat spreader. and i can attest to the insane overclocks. I was dissapointed when i realized the my cpu or mobo was what was holding my overclock back.

I think thats a fair price for the highest end DDR1 OCZ ever produced. And since you cannot get TCCD chips, they havent been made in over a year and a half. Those PC4800 modules are VERY desirable for AMD platforms that still run DDR400. As a mater of fact OCZ hasnt recieved any PC4000 chips in over a year also. Even though they show DDR500 on their webpage they dont have any. I talked to OCZRyder so I know.

Really? They're that good? At 2.6 Volts I'd think they would be a lot faster.

??? I dont think you know what your talking about. Or why your talking about it. Your stupid. hehe JK. :)

umm but seriously, You have examples of DDR1 that will run faster??? I doubt it.

2.6v is default for many DDR1 systems. Getting those speeds at only a +0.05v increase is pretty good. My DDR1 memory takes +0.2v to get less speed with higher timings (see above post).

I paid $230 for that pair almost a year and a half ago. Was the best memory I could find available PC4800

I got 750mhz @ 4-3-4-15 @ 1.8v from Wintec AMPX 675 8)

I thought that was pretty good for such low voltage. (My MOBO had no vDimm adjustment options.)
