Hello,
I curretly have 4GB of ram, (2x 2GB sticks) and I want to add 4GB so I will have a total of 8 GB Ram.
My Motherboard: Motherboard: MSI (Micro Star) H55M-E33
I've been looking into the MSI website and saw this:
Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 1066/1333/1600*/2000*/2133* (OC) DRAM, 16GB Max

I want to buy the following stick: Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz KVR16N11S8/4

does that mean I can use the 1600 or not? (The 1600 is marked with *)

Solution
In this case, the star (*) means that it is an overclocked setting, 1600. Make sure that you have a 64-bit OS in order to utilize more than 4 GBs of RAM.
Hello all and thanks for answers, but they are seem to be wrong.
The store provider called me and told me that my motherboard will not fit the kingson stick since it's dual core and I have single core (because the H55 motherboard module)

Anyone can explain this to me?

I had a store owner which was telling me that my mb cannot support quad core cpus and I nearly fainted from him messing up RAM and CPU terms.
