Best Remote Viewer for gamin lan gaming?

I have tried
Teamviewer
-Great stream but unresponsive to in game commands
VPN
-Great responsiveness and features, dial up slow video capture when running applications
-Splashtop
Can't get it to lan, has to be online. i hear good things and would like to use this.
-Remote Desktop
$139.00 to go form win 8.1 to pro? what a joke

I tried gaming on Splashtop, it's much better then teamviewer but still difficult, it was my best experience.
