Hey Guys... My Phenom II X4 955 Black edition is only running 3 cores now and I would like to possibly replace it or upgrade it. It's my daily driver nothing heavy but I would still like all 4 cores to work.....Suggestions??

Thanks In advance

I think I would like to stick to the same chipset if I can just drop something else in but I do have a Ryzen 5 2600 sitting here but I would have to do a new mobo to upgrade correct?.....I'd like to use the same Asus M4A88 TD-V EVO mobo that I have if I can... Thoughts??

This would be a option for a replacement:
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T

But I would not use any CPU better than what you already have for that Mobo.

If you have the Ryzen 5 2600, I would bite the bullet and go with that. Here is a simple and cheap build for you to use.

Did you want to stick with the same chipset (AM3) or did you want to upgrade to Ryzen?

the build could use an 8gb 5500xt for $20 more which is better than an rx 580.
