"Best" Roman Figs

Would like some opinions about what Roman figues are the "prettiest" in
the 25mm to 28mm size.

I don't care about what might be the best period to game. What I'm
after is some nicely done figs with some variation, great detail, and a
range that covers everything from the basic Legionaire to the artillery,
horns, drums, priest, eagle bearer and waterboy -- (I think you get the
drift here). This project will be more of a show piece than anything
else when completed.

I realize this involves some subjectivity in terms of style and personal
taste -- just give me your personal favorites (and maybe a website) and
I'll check it out.

Thanks in advance.

Gotta agree with the majority opinion on this one. Foundry Romans are the
best I've ever painted - and I've painted a LOT of Romans in my day.

At the risk of highjacking someone elses thread.

I'm looking at 15mm scale - any similar recommendations there?

Cheers,

Mike

Corvus Belli is spectacular. That said, I'm ultra happy with Old Glory/19th
Century for the bulk of my army. I have a Early Western Imperial and a
Republic Roman. Not counting my Byzantine army.

So, do the bulk of the army in 19th Century and add some Command and
"special" stands from CB.

I ONLY do 15mm.
