Hey guys.
I am buying a new WiFi router as we have now gotten an optical fibre connection. I need it to be 802.11ac compatible and should cost around 1000 SEK (~130 USD). The maximum I can spend is 1300 Sek (155 USD). It should also have a Usb-port for my network shared HDD. I have looked at the TP-Link Archer C7 and C9 as well as the ASUS AC66U (the AC68U is out of my budget thanks to Sedish pricing). Any suggestions?

Those are all good choices. Be careful about the bigger numbers is better trap. To get 1900 speed they assume you can run at 600 on the 2.4g band. The only way to do this is to use a encoding method that is not part of the 802.11n standard. This means if your nic card only supports encoding that is part of the official standard you will run no faster than the routers that claim 1750..ie 450 on the 2.4g.

What your nics can support in general is a important variable. Most portable devices only have 2 antenna so they will not use the encoding methods that use the 3 antenna feeds these router offer.

Mostly the main difference is going to be the software support of things like the USB file sharing you want.
