Thanks You! 😀

You don't need load balancing. That's if you have two internet connections coming in.= okay,I use one internet connection
Are you using wired on both tests?= yes
a gigabit router or router wifi combo would be good.= well TP-Link-TL-SG1016D make a good choice?
do you mean i picked one or both wifi and gigabit router

That model looks like it's just a switch. You need a wireless router. If you need a lot of ports you might also need a switch like that one.

How can you recognise if it's a switch or not?

Well a switch looks totally different compared to a router -- and if you look at that product page it clearly says

"16-Port Gigabit Desktop/Rackmount Switch"

If it was a router it would say so - :/

Generally speaking, avoid buying cheap or mid-priced routers as most will fail or start "glitching" after a few months of use. Buy something with higher quality like one of the Billion routers (my preferred brand at present - I won't buy anything else).

sorry for being dumb 🙁 , well enough of this switch thingy, the thing is i want to know what the answer of this question

when i directly connect the cable from modem to pc i can get 100mbps
but when i connect from modem>router>pc I get 40-50% of the speed,
anyway I only test the connection when im alone so im the only one using the internet at the time being.

thanks for understanding :)

do i need both switch and gigabit router?

Routers have 4-6 RJ45 on LAN so if you need more for your lan then yes.

sooo, now i know i need decent router to use a 100% of my connection and a better switch many thanks :) , aand my internet speed is 100 -150mbps , what router and switch should i choose or buy? thanks again 😀

what you mean if i dont need wireless, wireless is my only choice in my location, and you mean only 2 cables? which is from modem to the router and switch, the rest all to the switch right?
