We are talking under $150 for the CPU recommendation. Budget job.

Looking to build a new system overseas (Australia, prices are insane there) and just want to grab a CPU, a motherboard and some Ram here in the USA chuck it in my luggage and deal with the rest later when I get there.

I’m going to buy the Thermaltake Versa H18 case when I get there, I have the same case here and love it. I paid $49 for it here and it is $59 there and will be like $40 or less considering the exchange rate.😳.

Anyway just trying to save luggage space! Am thinking Ryzen 2600x on Amazon for $133 with Stealth cooler, Asrock B450M for $70 at Microcenter and Crucial 2x8 16GB DDR4 3200CL Ram for $70 at Microcenter.

I have all hard drives, monitor and Windows covered....

Thanks for any heads up or better ideas!

Buy the 3600 and b450m at micro center and get $50 off on the motherboard. Or $30 off the combo on the 2600. I think the 3600 is worth it.

Also micro center will do the bundle deals on open box parts if you ask them. You could possibly get a free motherboard if bundling a 3600. They will also price match items directly sold by Amazon and Newegg. There are bundle discounts on samsung SSDs as well and occasionally other items. Keep an eye out for open box GPU's as well. I bought a 1070 ti for $170 and an RX 480 8 gig for $12 last month.

IDK. People who have a micro center might not know about all of the crazy deals they do.

Side note.......I have to be honest. .....You are the last forum member I expected to see rocking a 3700x.
I said the same thing!

The 3600 is your best option if available at your desired price point. If not, a 2600 or 2600x are also great CPUs.
It performing well on 60fps with a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
Yup, i already knew Ryzen 7 3700X (8C/16T) and Ryzen 9 3900X (12C/24T) going popular choice. The reason why Ryzen 7 3700X is out of stock forcing people who trying to buy #1 Amazon Release - Ryzen 7 3700X to buy Ryzen 7 3800X instead. It took additional 9 days to arrive due to being back ordered.

The OP should get the Ryzen 5 2600 or 2600X since he under budget.

Well I bought the same board a week ago from them for a different build. No issues at all. PSU I grabbed on a whim because it will be MUCH cheaper then getting one in Australia and I have just enough room in my luggage. Usually I go with EVGA but thought I’d try it.
