best Ryzen in your opinion

i was going to upgrade to intel, but now with the announcement of Ryzen CPUs i think ill hold off and buy a AM4 mobo.

could some help me out on part picker for akinda budget build?

BTW i currently have a FX 4300 so i think even the zen 5 1500 or 1600 will be more than enough to meet my gaming needs with out breaking the bank

You'll have to wait for those models to come out. Only thing that will be available soon are the 8 core SKUs.

Set your budget appropriately and it basically comes down to the CPU/Board price. Everything else is already available.

For gaming, a quad core should be fine, so I'd go with the Ryzen 5 1400X when it is available.

Then the 1400X at $200 is your best bet, then 2x8GB of memory for $100, and a decent motherboard at around $100 as well for your max budget.

Q2 could be as late as June, so it might be a while.
