Hi

Maybe someone could offer some wisdom, I'm not that switched on with all this resolution stuff. I'm running an HD 7850 on my computer and I like to play games. I use a 32'' flat screen telly as the monitor, it's one of those half-HD, 720 things. I've read that its maximum resolution is 1366x768 so that's what I've set my screen resolution too, but I notice that in some of the games that I play, the visuals appear noticeably blurry. My son has the same card in his computer and a full HD screen, his looks so much better.

Again, I don't know a whole lot about this, but I am assuming that my screen is just a little big for that level of resolution, thus the image is blurring a little.

This is far from a major problem, but I just wondered if there was something anyone could suggest - different settings or something- that might mitigate things a little for me..?

Thanks for any help

32" for 1336x768 is quite a big screen, so it will be blurry sometimes. Hd 7850 is a nice gpu, and it can handle games at 1080p. There's quite a graphics difference between your resolution and 1080p. So I suggest you to use AA and AF in games if you want them to look less blurry and better, even if you have to tweak down game settings.

Thanks Storm, yes, I'd sort of come to that conclusion. I have a proper computer monitor, but it's only 19 inches and I'd rather have the big screen, but it does hurt the eyes a little at times...

But, once you start playing game you forget on what screen you are playing. But I still prefer to play on monitor and keep it closer, than playing on my T.V which is noticeably far hung up on my wall. 😛
