Best Setup For 4 Fans on PC?

I only have 4 fans, 2 in my possession and the other 2 will be here tomorrow, all 120mm. What would be the best set up for them? I have an intake on my side panel right by my GPU, and the rear exhaust. When I get my other 2 fans, what would be the best place to put them?

Regardless of your case, your going to need a front intake...
The last one is up to you really.

I have an extra exhaust on the front near the top of my tower to prevent hot air from forming a pocket there.

I have the Cougar Solution Steel case (I can already hear laughter). I tried doing a front intake, but it readdy did no service for me, everything got even warmer, but then again I only had 2 fans

Well, as Dburnsx stated, one in the front, preferably blowing across your HDD(s). Then I would put the other in the top towards the back as exhaust. You really should get 2 more (if you PSU can handle it), one for the bottom and another for side intake. No need to laugh, I have suggested that case several times in budget builds. It's a great starting case

First time i added fans to my tower, mine got warmer too. I just ended having them in the wrong setup.

But a front intake fan should never cause an increase in temperatures unless hot air pockets are forming.
Typically, people use dry ice to trace the flow of air through their towers to see how its moving and to detect air pockets [if you have dry ice, try it...if you don't, then a little bit of smoke from a cigarette or something else will work too]

Best bet is to map out your airflow and adjust your fans accordingly.

Here is an explanation on the difference between Negative and Positive air pressure, also something important to consider: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cooling-air-pressure-heatsink,3058-5.html Theoretically, with positive air pressure, if you filter all the intakes you should have a dust free case! Just filters to clean, these guys make great ones and actually have custom designs for certain cases: http://www.demcifilter.com/ Plus, their rep was very helpful and despite being out of South Africa, I did receive them in a timely manner.
