I can't fit anything longer than 7.5 inches in my case, looking to spend about +-R3000 (South African Rand about $230). I found a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC GAMING 4GB card that will fit perfectly, is there anything better out there? Currently using the GTX 750Ti OC 2GB MSI Single Fan card.
Any help would be appreciated.

then your best option most likely 1050Ti due to power supply limitation.

Thanks for the reply.
After remeasuring the space available, it seems that I have 7.5inches of space available not 6.5". Sorry for the mix up. The 1050ti Gaming card I found is a single fan edition, measuring in at 7inches according to the Nvidia website. I could not really find any other card in that price range that will fit and out perform the 1050ti. So any suggestion would be appreciated.

I will have to wait a couple more months if I plan on increasing my budget. Is it worth it, to rather go for something in the RX470 range? I also found an EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING 6GB on Amazon for around the same price...

could be worth it depending on your system specs

HP Compaq Pro 6300 MT
Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Intel Core i5-3470 @3.2GHz
8GB RAM
320W PSU (can't be upgraded without upgrading the motherboard as well)
Hewlett-Packard 339A
Hope it helps.

your PSU is 320W and after reviewing picture of your power supply,. you do not have the 6 pin cabling from power supply to run any video cards.

so that narrows your choices to a few TI models from NVidia that dont need a 6 pin and do not produce over wattage of your PSU, so that takes out 1050, 1060, rx470

your system with a 750ti cards will draw max 242w
your system with a 1050ti cards will draw max 266w

technically speaking you can... but man that is getting close to max power from PSU.

PS I heard rumours about a GTX 1060ti coming out , but no dates

Thanks for the input. Yeah i am always worried about overloading the PSU. It seems that I should rather wait awhile longer, save more money and do a proper upgrade or get a more future proof gaming PC. As this PC was not designed with gaming in mind (but it was free). Thanks for the help

that PC can be a decent gaming PC. that quad core is not the latest but it is not bad either given by today standards. 8GB of RAM also should be enough for gaming purpose. the only thing that holding it back was the power supply.

I took the PC to a local computer shop, the guy told me that it is possible to put a larger PSU in that will work with my motherboard, but with some wire trickery. He also said that you then run the risk of overloading something more easily. I don't know if it is worth the risk.

Thanks for your help, I think I will take your advice.
