I'm looking into getting an LCD, but I’m not sure what size I want. Right now I have a 19" CRT so I know I don't want to go any lower then 19". I've read that the best size LCD for gaming is between 20"-24", anything lower or higher then that will just look and operate poorly. I also want to take full advantage of my GPU, and not limit its capability. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I know that 24" is a great size. Nearly takes up even my peripheral vision, but not so big that I have to turn my head while playing. Also, with your 8800GTX you shouldn't have too many problems running 1900x1200 which is native for most 24" monitors.

As I've said in a number of threads lately, the Dell 24" monitor that I just bought is amazing and I highly recommend it.

I agree on the 24" LCD. I went from a 17" CRT to a 24" LCD not only because of its size but more importantly because of the resolution. I have seen 22" LCDs in a shop, and although it looks very nice and big, I find the resolution of 1680 by 1050 just too low on such a relative big screen, making the desktop and games look somewhat unsharp. On top of that, I used to work with a res. of 1280 by 1024 on the CRT so making the change to 1680 by 1050 wouldn't make as much of a difference as 1920 by 1200 would do.
