Best slim laptop on market in price range

Friend asked for help finding a laptop but I don't really know much about laptops.. so I ask what is the best laptop with a slim design for under $1200
Doesn't need to play high intensive games. Needs to handle photoshop and other editing software

The one I've found so far is the Dell XPS 13 if there is anything out there better than that one please let me know

not being specific, but brand-wise MSI has a nice range of laptops and great after service. their gaming laptops can get expensive though. just my .02c

Not going to be for gaming. Just need a good fast and slim laptop I'll look into the MSI brand though THANKS!

The Dell XPS is excellent.

The 2017 version of the HP Spectre is also quite nice.
