As a channel of mine grows and grows, I plan on starting to stream videos to Youtube firstly, then to Twitch.

The problem is...I have never done this before and know nothing about it. There is a variety of different software solutions, I'm sure...and today I tried X Split Broadcaster, and while it was functional, it gave me some pretty serious performance impacts in DayZ.

So!

My question is thus:

1) Which broadcasting software is the best? Which gives the best quality and most importantly...impacts my performance the least? Was DayZ just poor because it's not optimized well or finished?

I DO NOT MIND PAYING for software if it's good stuff. Look for suggestions and ideas on what works best.

- Also, I have dual Zotac 980 Ti AMP! Extreme cards and an i7-4770K in my compooper. I play on 1440p resolution exclusively. If that all helps you to know.

OBS and Xsplit are really the most commonly used ones.
There's also FFsplit and . . . I think adobe has some streaming software as well.

I understand OBS and Xsplit alternate which one is best due to features, stability and what happens to not work with the software. Although I understand OBS has been getting the better reviews lately. Might just be coz it's free though.

I have tried using it as well, and it has worked alright. Way better than X Split for FPS, methinks. I can't capture DayZ, though. Would you happen to know how to get DayZ to capture in the scene as a source?
