Hey toms, i have a question which i hope you can help me out with

the thing is, in a few weeks i'll be going to a borderschool (you know where you stay and sleep at the school and so on hehe), i'll be staying there for a year and i really want to be able to do some gaming there, so i am on the look out for a new gaming laptop, or am i ?

I was wondering what the best solution would be with a budget of $3000, when i want most bang for the buck gaming wise :)

A prebuild brand gaming laptop ? (like alienware)
A prebuild standard laptop and then upgrade the individual devices myself ?
Self build gaming laptop ? (if thats even possible hehe)
A standard laptop with an external grapichs card ?

the most important thing is to run heavy games perfectly at a high fps (and keep doing so, thinking of heat problems hehe), i dont really care about it being heavy and hard to move and so on, as long as i can still bring it to class and use it for school (hence why i dont get i desktop pc)

Please help me out and come with suggestions i would really appreciate it :)

And sorry my english is not the best hehe, hope you understand :)

With $3000,you can build 2 kickass gaming desktops for that price but the right laptop for that price is the Alienware M18x R2
