I hope this is the right area in the forums, i looked and this seemed like the best place to put this

My speakers have finally crapped the bed 🙁

I mostly just play screamo music and dubstep, and also play a ton of games so i want decent - good speakers. I also love the Bass so that is required

I found these and they have very good Feedback and only $130

I was just wondering before i hit the go button if there was anything i was missing

Are there better speakers out there for under 150? I can go above 150 but i really dont see the need. I want it too be very good 2.1 speakers, instead of 5.1 (as i dont have the space or time to mess with it)

Also, if you REALLY can tell a difference in speakers that are 300-400 dollars i would be willing to listen, i just want the best bang for buck even if the bang is a little less.

I can't check these links at work, but the best PC speakers for around $100 are the M-Audio AV30 or AV40s. They are large 2.0 sets, but sound better than pretty much any speakers I have heard, including many real home audio sets. The one PC speaker I have owned that beats it are the Logitech THX certified ones. But that's due to the bass it gets, the "trueness" to the music and spacial quality the AV40s have are equal to anything out there.

Well this is a real tough question to answer because audio quality is very dependent on the individual. You might be very happy with the Logitech Z623 200 w 2.1 Speaker System where as I bought the Z-5500 5.1 Logitech's and thought they were about the worst sounding speakers I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. The two small enclosures of the Z623's look like they hold the same speaker that the Z-5500's use and the sub looks similar also.

For a similar price I would get the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Speaker System http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Klipsch+-+ProMedia+2.1+Speaker+System+%283-Piece%29+-+Black/9382232.p?id=1218095770265&skuId=9382232#tabbed-customerreviews $154.99 is best buy's price but you can probably find them cheaper somewhere else.

There have also been some other really good suggestions on this thread. The "Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II-2.0 Speakers" for $149 and M-Audio's are really nice sounding PC speakers but, if you want the big boom of a sub they might not cut it for you.

The "Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 High Power 2.1 232W RMS 8IN Subwoofer PC Speaker System" for $234 is also a great choice but only you can decide if you can/want to afford them.

So with those compromises in mind, my vote goes to the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Speaker System as a great choice for you! :sol:
