Ok, I've decided to finally abandon my sick and dying P2 233 to my folks ;], but I am a bit behind in the CPU market.
As of now I've pretty much narrowed down my options to an Athlon 1Ghz. However, my friend recently sent me a site where they had 2 choices.
An Athlon 1.1 Ghz with 200 FSB on-die Cache: L1 128K Cache, L2 256K
or
Athlon 1 Ghz FSB@266MHz Supporting DDR Memory
They both cost the same and I'm told that the 1.1 Ghz would be a bit faster than the 1Ghz. I am planning to overclock and I'm also looking for the performance increase I would get if I were to get the CPU supporting DDR RAM and 266 FSB
