Best SSD drive

Im looking for another hard drive since mines filling up, i would like to get a 512gb SSD, but I'm unsure, how hard is it to install a new hard drive in general? (Never done it) Also do all hard drives work for my build? Like i know you have to make sure your cpu works with your motherboard, do i have to check and make sure my hard drive works with any other piece? Also please suggest good SSD's
