Best SSD for £30?

Hi,

I just wish to buy a hard drive with a space of minimum of a 30GB and something which would be really quick. The main purpose is for recording. I want to record CS GO with it. Can you please recommend me the best one? Thank you!

Have to pay from postage though 🙁 If you want to record some gameplay best thing for that is a HDD, because the SSD read/write speed is wasted for recording.

an ssd is pointless for recording.

The slower 5400 rpm hard disk drives can do 80mBps so 640mbps. A Blu-ray quality movie is 35mbps, 4k would not even hit 250mbps.
Why do you think you need SSD for recording?

you can get those 32 or 64g SSD's used in early mini laptops prolly off ebay or somewhere in my odds and ends box, if you stop by denmark.
Dont think theyr cheap, fast or really much good. I never found much use for the one 32g i have.

Maybe a backup drive of sorts, if i could hook it to a secondary PSU.

If you were wanting to use it for OS:
30gb is so small you can barley get windows and a couple programs on it
60gb can handle a little bit but will require constant monitoring of disk space
120gb is more like it.

hehe...Not even Windows, after updates. Well, just barely.
I just built a Win 7 x64 system, and monitored the used drive space through the process.

After the OS updates were done, 26GB used.
A few small utilities, MS Office 2010, and all current updates...40GB used space,
