I plan on getting on ddr4 ram at 3000 and running it with my msi Z170a gaming m5 using xmp to make it go to 3000. I currently have Corsair lpx ddr4 in xmp at 3000 but feel it's not stable in xmp and getting page fault in non pages area is cause of this ram at 3000 not liking xmp. I do not have anything changed with the cpu either, everything stock there. Anyways is there at better more stable ram at that speed like Gskill or something? Thanks sorry for the ramble on

Solution

if your hardware has passed those test i would assume its a fault in the operating system maybe a corrupt os files.

Open Command Prompt as admin and try this command
sfc /scannow

I have to admit that's an awesome question lol. I have never tried it myself, and I have one too. You could at least check the status of the drive for I/O errors, SMART status etc. What model is it?

Do you have your OS installed onto the NVME?

You could still run some memory diagnostics though.

intel program said it wasn't enabled and wouldn't let me run the test lol . i used hd tune and it did an error check and it came back all green. so im lost now as to what it was.. maybe at times the ram didnt like being in xmp at 3000? right now its doing ok, i have no idea if that is because 3 days ago i reinstalled windows. who knows

It sounds to me like there isn't a problem, and if there is then I am lost. Page fault errors are usually related to OS memory and often resolved with a reboot, but you need to clearly outline the issue as it seems to be transient and I am not sure what I am supposed to be answering lol.
