Legendary (can be a bit iffy on some systems but nice game and cheap)

(the only game I played is witcher and life is strange doesn't look that bad either)

aeh.. if you mean by recommend as in "pick 1 out of all those", im gonna have a hard time, i like them all alot 😀
depends what genre, gamestyle you prefer i think

if you are into hardcore puzzle
or fps,
or RPG
platformer
point 'n click

if i had 5 bucks here and now and didnt own any of those games, and liked/loved RPG then i think Witcher 2 on Steams 85% off sale right now would prob be teh biggest bang for the buck atm

but to be honest its hard to pick one over the other since they all are solid in their own field

Worms is hilarious and can be fun multiplay with a friend or such

either Final Doom, HeXen or Wolfenstein 3d are all great fun classic original arcady style FPS

Dark Messiah took a nice spin on RPG by doing it in 1st person perspective with fun different combat

Oddworld is great in its own puzzle platform'ish right and kinda hilarious too

Defy Gravity is a nice different type platformer, with some new slightly different mechanics

Civilization 3 is a great old strategy game

and Rome Total War is even more perfect strategy since it combines RTS + turnbased campaign map management in 1 game

and then ofc there is the highly praised roguelike Bindings of Isaac if a person like those types

you will prob never find any more frustrating puzzle game than Myst or Riven, they are truly difficult
if you complete either game without using the internet and not pulling out your hair in frustration trying to solve teh puzzles, then you are in the elite 😉

my top 3 picks to cover different genres would be
Witcher 2 RPG
or Dark Messiah simply for being different with teh whole 1st person and combat mechanics

Rome Total War strategy (bit higher than 5bucks tho, but worth it!)

and for FPS if you havent tried the classics, then first you must try Final Doom, and if you have that then HeXen, or then Wolfenstein 3d

since Witcher 2 is on sale right now for like 3 bucks i think, then that is prob most value for money, even leaves you a few bucks for another game 😉

both those particular game titles "greatness" can be debated,
personally i would rather spend 3 bucks on awesome Witcher 2 or other titles, instead of 2 dollars and get 9 games where most is trash and only 2 is sorta meh 😉
then again thats just me 😛
ofc for 5 bucks both scenarios can be accomplished 😀

the problems with the bundles is you often end up getting so many games that you never play because they just werent worth it despite only technicalyl having costed like 10cent 😛
dont even wanna think about the games i still havent even touched because of a bundle/pack

always great value for money, but the quality is always another matter,
and OP did ask "the best", and i wouldnt consider either of them that, they are okay,
value for money is solid, but doesnt matter if you take a look at each game and only end up spending 10min playing 😀
