Hello

I have a very good air flow and nice cabinet but still it reaches 70 degrees when I render video in After effects. Current temperature in Delhi is 27-30 degrees. And summer is coming when it will reach 45 degrees So confused which thermal paste to use.
Currently I have used IC Value V1 and looks like it is not at all usable for summer.
Should I use ARCTIC MX-4 (4g) or anything else?
Budget is not an issue for me.

I have checked "Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra" which looks good but I do not like this type. Someone said to remove this paste you need to apply lot of effort.

Solution
I don't think thermal paste is your issue, you'll likely need a better cpu cooler. The 212 evo only dissipates around 180w of heat, larger air coolers and aio's like the h100i dissipate 250w or more of heat. 40c is really hot for ambient room temps. It has a direct effect on any cooling.
Well the Arctic pastes are pretty good yes, also spending more than $10 on paste is a waste as you won't gain anything more than 1-2 degrees, at least that is what my experience shows me. Is the problem in the paste or is it in bad airflow or bad cooler, or perhaps too high overclock? Also note that the rendering you do is extremely CPU intensive so it is normal to get higher, though if you have a good cooler (and airflow as you say) you shouldn't reach more than 65.

Yes I am confused looks like the paste is not good. I am not doing OC.
Airflow is good with good wire management. Using cooler master trooper so there is only reason for thermal paste for over temp? In 2 months our temp will reach around 45 C. So need to do something in next 1 month.

70c is a respectable temp for those kind of ambient temps, especially while rendering video. What cpu cooler are you using? There isn't usually much difference between thermal compounds, typically 1-3c temp difference. Mx4 is decent thermal paste. Coollabs liquid pro can be tricky to apply and it depends on the metals involved. It can be highly corrosive to some coolers.

It will be 45c in the room your pc is in? That's extremely hot, even a water cooler may have issues keeping things cool under heavy loads with those kind of ambient temps. 30c is quite warm, most 'typical' ambient temps used for cooler comparisons are done around 22c.

Hi
My current cooler is CM Hyper 212 Evo with dual fans
and using Cooler Master: IC Value V1 as thermal paste.

Right now room temp is around 25 C and will going to be 40+ in next 2 months.

So if I go with Arctic silver 5 will there be difference as compared with IC Value V1?

I have upgraded from AMD to Intel in last october so this will be my first summer with i7. Getting ready for hotness :)

Any other better Air cooler you can suggest?
