best tv resolution for pc gaming

just upgraded my pc and I was playing Crysis 3 a while ago ..

and then thought about attaching my LG 42" Plasma tv to my pc via HDMI

it worked like a charm ..but the game looks like it's stretched out ..or zoomed in ..

can any one tell me what's wrong ? and do I have to make the tv resolution from the pc maxed out to 1920 x 1024 ? or that will be worst ..

and what about inside game resolution

You will need a much higher resolution to make it look natural.

look in the TV manual see what it's native resolution is. some TV's state they are this or that resolution but use a different resolution. Once set to the native resolution it should look just fine. However TV's as monitors sometimes have a slightly lower quality appearance than Monitors. On my monitor my games and applications look clean but when i take it out to the TV on occasion it makes it looks less quality. This may not be the case for you just informing.

well the game looks better on my tv..considering that the monitor is way older than the tv..and um gonna buy a new one tomorrow

the game looks way too good on the tv..but as I said ..stretched out..and a little bit slower or blurry ..dunnu ..

on the monitor the quality is horrible ..but faster !

Refresh rates are better on monitors, and from this comes the blurriness.
