Question Best GPU upgrade from an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti ?

Hi all,
I have a good GeForce 1050ti that has always done its job well but for some time now I have been noticing slowdowns and prolonged fan ons for some games that should not be graphically demanding (Wartales, Sniper Elite V, Crysis 3 remastd).
I play at 1080 resolution and have read about both solutions of gtx 1650 and gtx 1660 super ventus.
I am afraid that for the former, the upgrade will be insignificant (max 30%) and for the latter that I will have 8 pin connector problems.
Are there no other solutions ?

Which CPU, motherboard and PSU are you using?

typically the 1660s should be 100% faster, with an adequate CPU
I have a Intel i5-8600K @ 3.60GHz processor on a MSI Z370pro motherboard , PSU is a Cooler Master 750w.
Yes, you're right, 1660 should be best solution but
1. I'll need a 6 pin to 8 pin connector converter;
2. I can't find it to buy as new, only second hand

Your PSU should have the necessary cables for that. Typically it is a 6+2 pin connector like this. What is budget for said GPU?

PSU is a Cooler Master 80 plus, it has 3 x 6pin connectors still free but I haven't found the +2
Budget is 200 -230 €
Thank You Lukawin10, I'll check again the RTX 2070, that board is quite rare in Europe, atm selling at 300 € always second hand

RX 6600 destroys RTX 3050 and costs less.

Yes but their PSU doesn't have any 6+2 connections, just 6 pin. The RX 6600 has a single 8-pin. They would need a new PSU too, as I personally would not recommend the usage of adapters.

Thank you so much

I'll definitely buy a RTX 3050 new and guaranteed, as I don't think my PSU can handle more than 125W for a new component beyond the load of all other devices.
I'm just afraid that EU version of RTX 3050 might need the 6>8 pin connector, hope not.
