Best upgrade to get

I just really want the best gaming performance I was about to upgrade my CPU ram motherboard to an i5 8600k ddr4 2666 gigabyte motherboard. I was getting a big bottleneck (CPU always maxing out CPU never going over 60) however I have oc and changed some settings now there both maxing out giving me good performance. So should I buy new CPU motherboard and ram or buy 1080-1080ti The prices have come down a lot I am seeing 1080ti for 500 pounds and after the 20 series cards come out they will drop more. I will get both of the upgrades but can't afford it all in one go What's the best upgrade path first? ( Only have a 1080p monitor at the mo but would get 1440p if I got 1080/ti)

Keep in mind, it depends on what games you are playing, because some are the cpu intensive or gpu intensive, or both of them intensive games. If you can list the games, that will be very helpful.

Graphics card would be your better option. Going to 1440p will also put more of the gaming load, on your GPU, so your CPU will still be sufficient, especially with the overclock.
