Hi
There are frequent power outages where I live so I need a UPS to power my PC for 6-8 minutes in case of a blackout so I can hibernate my PC to save my data. It needs to be sufficient to power my PC under full load when gaming (my old UPS for my old system couldn't do that and was instead shutting down).

My build:

ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming
Intel i7 6700K
Be Quiet Dark Rock 3
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4 3000MHz
EVGA SuperNova 750 G2
two 7200 RPM SATA HDDs
a USB 3.0 external HDD
Cooler Master HAF 932
Logitech G700
Logitech G15
23" 1920x1080 LCD Monitor

According to eXtreme Outer Vision PSU Calculator the recommended UPS rating for my build is 1200 VA but there are lots of different UPS units with this rating with different specifications and prices so I'm not sure what's the best for my needs.

I'd say a 1000VA to 1300VA should be sufficient. However most of the time you aren't going to be using your computer (unless you turn it off while not using it) when the power goes out, so it's likely going to be sitting idle which doesn't use much power. So if you mean for it to keep your machine up and running for a bit when you are using it, then the above suggestion stands. However if you think it more likely that the power will go out while your computer is idling, then you might get away with 2/3 of this.
