I need a CPU that can handle Adobe software like photoshop or premier pro. Do you think core i5 (8400,8500,8600,9400f) enough for this kind of task or Should I choose Ryzen 5 instead?
6 cores would be perfect. With adobe software your want to look for cpu speeds a little more over core count. A 8 core 3ghz cpu would be worse than a 6 core 3.5 ghz. Adobe will push your system to the max turbo like 100% of the time so also look for turbo boost speeds.Do you think 6 core is adequate enough for photoshop? Actually I'm learning about front end web development and I heard I'll need certain adobe software for web design.

If you want a cheaper alternative xeons come with the cores and Processing power. Any 6th Gen i5 or i7 can run those just fine. 8th would be great. In fact the 8500 and 8600 are better than the Ryzen 5 2500x and 1600x.
