Hi guys, I have decided to build my first PC and get into PC gaming. I've been researching for a while now and I'm pretty confident that I know the basics of how everything works and that I can build one myself. Other than games I will just use it for casual things like Facebook, e-mail, YouTube, writing essays for school, and streaming live videos.
Approximate Purchase Date: 3 weeks
Budget Range: 700-800
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet, watching live sports
Are you buying a monitor: Yes
Parts to Upgrade: everything (except mouse and keyboard)
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any trusted / reliable websites
Location: San Antonio, Texas, U.S.
Parts Preferences: none, haven't had any experience with PC components
Overclocking: Maybe; if its worth it in the long run
SLI or Crossfire: No, I don't have enough money for multiple monitors
Monitor Resolution: the best resolution I can get for my money, at least 1920x1080
Additional Comments: I want this computer for playing new and old games like Battlefield 4 (and other shooters), Far Cry, Fallout, Mortal Kombat, Batman and some racing games . I want this system to play most games without a problem and want it to continue to do so for the next few years. I want higher frames per second than I would get on PS4 or XB1 and 1080p because graphics is one of the main reasons I want to switch from consoles) I want the most value for my money. I do not care for looks or noise regarding the components.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My Chromebook laptop is in its last days and I want to do some gaming.
I really need some advice before ordering everything. If there is anything important that I should know about PC gaming please let me know since I've been a console gamer all my life.
Thanks. 😀
