Hi all
I'm trying to help out a friend pick out his new rig. He wants a gaming ring but also to be able to work with a few virtual environments.

He wants crossfire (2 cards) though so I was trying to figure out what'd be the best option for a motherboard. Should he go for 4x/4x on Crossfire and would the Ryzen 5 series be good for that or should he go for a Ryzen 7 instead?

He'll be gaming on a 27inch monitor.

Obviously I saw that the ASRock X370 Gaming K4 is recommended by Toms Hardware but I was wondering if there was another more cost effective solution as that retails around £150 on Amazon.

Hope that's sufficient! Many thanks in advance

You only need B350 if you want to use crossfire, x370 only really brings sli to the table, have a look at the msi b350 tomahawk, it's getting some very good reviews, also, Ryzen 5 1600 should be plenty and easy to overclock, however, it depends what else he uses his computer for, if he's video rendering or anything like that then the R7 1700 might be the better choice.
