I'm building a workstation and I could use your help.
I want to pair at least 2x xeon cpu's(4+ preferable)
I can pay 150$ per CPU.

You said you are building a workstation and would like up to 4 CPU's, does this mean you have a motherboard or at least have one in mind? If so what socket type are these processors going to be plugged into? What is the motherboard you are going to use?
 


What is this workstation going to be used for?
You might just be better getting something new like an amd threadripper instead of some older xeons. Also keep in mind that quad cpu boards even used are easily 1000$.
 


No I do not have a motherboard. You can recommend anything and after I will consider all options I have
