All,

There are a lot of threads out there on this very subject and with a lot of threads come a lot of opinions. So many that I am probably more confused because now I know a little more than when I started researching.

Currently using a packaged HP pre-built machine, but it is failing and probably near 7-8 years old technology, so I am looking to upgrade and figured I'd try my hand at my first computer build..used mainly for gaming, and streaming. Kids play an array of high graphics games but I am looking for one that can keep up near 60fps, 1080p, and somewhat future-proof. A board that could handle a chip upgrade or perhaps a second video card...who knows.

I know I want a SSD for an OS and other programs, 1TB for pics and vids, but beyond that I am open to suggestions.

Solution
Gtx 960 won't get you 60 fps at 1080p. Get gtx 970. Drop i5 for g3258. Plenty for the games. Always can upgrade in the future. Also slightly better psu. Go 750 if you gonna sli or crossfire in the future.
