The RTX 3070 is a decent card, though do to being a video editor, animator and digital artist on my ipad I want to do it on my pc. For animation and gaming at this present time a GPU with lots of VRAM is a good idea. I can choose one of the following until I’m able to get a 4090-4080 under $1000 next year.

Programs used
Clip studio paint, Krita, adobe photoshop, illustrator, premiere, Maya, 3D studio max, blender, adobe animate, Adobe Character Animator and toonboom software.

PC Specs
Ryzen 9 5900x
Asus Tuff Gaming Wifi 2 mobo
Asus strix RTX 3070
128GB DDR4 Ram
2 1TB SSD
14TB Hard Drive
1000w corsair psu

On Ebay, I can get either a RTX 3090 @ $750 used, Rx 6900 XT @ $700 or brand new just get a 4070 Ti @ $799 msrp if I can find it.

So, just a few quick questions that I need help on

1.) What would happen if I run dual RTX 3070’s for digital art, animation and gaming (minus my high vram requirement)

2.) seems like an RTX 3090 would be best deal until I see a used 4090 in 2024 close to $1000

3090/3090Ti for the 24GB of VRAM or the 7900XT at 20GB (new $900) or 7900XTX at 24GB. (new $1150)

Also the RTX A4500 which is basically a lighter 3080 class card with 20GB of VRAM.

You can't really use dual 3070 for gaming. Only the 3090 and 3090Ti still support SLI, and they are the last. With the exception of the few games that support DX12 multi GPU (requires effort to implement, so most games don't bother)

You could use dual GPUs for many rendering tasks though, that is going to be application dependent on whether the memory can be pooled or not though.

My vote is for whatever 3090/3090Ti you can find used. Should be some people that recently upgraded to 4090 that are trying to ditch them. In a decent position actually since the 4070Ti has roughly the gaming performance of a 3090Ti (but 1/2 the memory bandwidth and capacity)
