HI,

I need little help in video cards I'm really a noobie when it comes to video cards. There are so many. And not sure if any of them are good.

Please note I only need a video card for to play runescape on high settings. Runescape is not s demanding game. I also do little video editing TV shows, streaming movies, Netflix streaming.

I Need a video card for 3 displays 2 HDMI and 1 VGA the HDMI are at 1224x1080 and vga 1024x768. here is how I want the display set up. one hdmi 23 inch to play runescape on full screan my 42 inch to watch Netflix stream movies from HDD and my 17 inch vga to use as web browser.

Here are the specs
AMD Phenom II X2 565 Black 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
EVGA Super NOVA G2 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Any help would be great.

ok I think ill get the 730 the 610 as a mini hdmi and I don't have a display for that. only have 3 display vga and 2 hdmi

btw does the 730 support up to 3 displays? I have a 21 in vga 23 in hdmi and a 42in hdmi they the hdmi are 1080P

So you saying the 730 gt wont support 3 displays 1 vga 1 dvi to hdmi and 1 hdmi so how many display does it support 1 or 2? Please Note I do have a dvi to hdmi converter

well I don't really like to buy used items because I'm not sure I'm gonna get what paid for.
last time I got a used cpu it came to me dead and missing pin. motherboard I got was wrong board I ordered a am3 I end up socket 775.

how about XFX Radeon HD 5450 1GB will that support what I need? runecape on high settings and 3 displays
1 vga 1 dvi to hdmi and 1 hdmi

hmm, you could consider a single strong card for the gaming display, plus a second cheapie card for the other two non-game displays. your board can handle it. you can run multiple independent graphics cards without much problem.

what are you using for a graphics card right now?

I have no video card right now. all I have is the psu, ssd, case, and I just order the board cpu and memory.

all I have left is video card. im on a budget and I need to slide in a video card unto I get paid again. I just need a video card that will do what I want. if I have to settle on just 1 display for now unto I get paid to get the r7 250x then ill do that.

well on site says support 2 so I'm gonna have to settle for 2 for now.

in your situation, i'd be quite tempted to pick up a cheap old card on kijiji (in person) for like $10 and use that for now. and when you get paid and are shopping for another card, move the $10 card into another slot and use it to drive 2 screens and make your new card drive 1 main gaming screen.

why pick up another $10 card when I can go ahead and buy the r7 250x or 250. and I cant fine a $10 card I double anyone will sell a card for that price unless it's a un working card.

i bought a 9500GT this past summer for $10, cash used. works perfectly and drives 2 screens at 1080p. i also have an HD2600 Pro that i paid $18 for, and it'll drive 2 screens. they're old and only really good for desktop / 2D use or really really basic gaming like Solitaire. used = cheaper and no tax. then again i have a box of spare graphics cards (7 at last count), so.....

but if a 250 / 250X will drive the 3 screens you need (i don't know if it can) then just hang tight until you can buy that.

well then you are really lucky. because so far the lowest right now ic is for 30 buxs used and I can get a new one for 27 buxs

and that's the XFX Radeon HD 5450 1GB Video Card will that do 2 displays at lest in 1080P 1 VGA 21 inc 1 HDMI 42 inc

you mean like the ones on Newegg.com that i can see? it absolutely should without batting an eyelash or breaking a nail. i use a GT610 (similar idea) when i need to. 3 outputs but only 2 at a time - so you can use DVI and HDMI, ignoring the VGA.

oh btw is this the 9500GT you have I found one for 20buxs plus s/h
http://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-Nvidia-Geforce-9500GT-512MB-DDR2-Dual-DVI-TV-Out-PCI-E-Video-512-P3-N954-TR-/351537108354?hash=item51d93e9582 but but it's 512mb and I think I need more then that for runescape not sure.

yes the one on newegg.

but if it had 3 outputs does it mean It can support 3 displays. and for get the vga I have a vga display and I have 2 hdmi display. but I do have a dvi to hdmi converter.

I can fill all putputs if it does support it. for what I need. 1 display to play runescape. 1 display for watching movies. and the other for surfing the web as in looking up quest . it's a pain to close out the game and look up info. sence runescape is in full screan mode.

i have a Zotac 9500GT but yeah basically the same thing. 512MB is ok for just displaying - it might suck a bit for gaming, my thought was that you'd use it for the non-game monitors once you got a game-level card. so, for a month, gaming on it would suck but after that not so much.

the cheaper cards (like on Newegg) that have 3 outputs typically can only use 2 at a time. any 2. but only 2. the 3rd ends up being disabled. so you can use DVI and VGA, or DVI and HDMI, or VGA and HDMI. that's fairly common for those types of cards.

what city are you in? there should be something worthwhile on kijiji or craigslist.

Well That's the thing I'm not going to be gamming I have my Xbox 360 for that.
I just want to use 3 displays only game ill be play is runescape an it's not a gpu demanding game.
here is the website for more details on what I need I'm going for high settings.

hey, you can find interesting stuff on eBay. question - how do you want to run the 2 non-game screens? both in landscape, and both right beside each other? or do you want to put the gaming screen in between the two non-game ones? cuz if you want to put the non-game side-by-side, you can pick a card that has a DMS-59 connector (which splits into two DVI connectors), and usually those cards present ONE larger 3840x1080 display to the computer and internally split it into dual side-by-side 1920x1080 screens. upshot is that it's simple and compact and will drive 2 screens without question, the downer is that maximizing a window that's on one of those screens will stretch it to span both since windows thinks it's a single super-wide display.

but you can find cards like that for $10 or so. on eBay USA.

Ok the way I want the screens set up like I said before ^ my 17 Inch VGA 1024x768 to use Only as web browser, My 23 Inch 1920x1080 HDTV with input HDMI Ill be using that as playing Runescape aka www.runescape.com My 42 Inch that is mounted on the wall 1920x1080 HDTV input HDMI Ill be using that as watching Videos that is stored on the HDD or Netflix Im not sure any other way to explain it. my 17 inch and 23 inch are going to be side by side on a desk. But sence you said the GPU I listed only support 2 display ill have to stick with the 17 inc and 23 inc unto I get the r7 250x

and by the way I don trust ebay with video cards. so I rather pay for brand new.
