Best Video Card for GTA5 & Battlefield 4

Hey,

I bought a XFX R7 260X as someone said it would run well for GTA 5 & BF4, but I have yet to get BF4 & GTA 5 over heats the card bad on low settings. So I am wondering what card would run best with the following built.

Motherboard: MSI A88XM Gaming
CPU: A10-7850K
Memory: 32GB DDR3 1600 CL8
CPU Cooler: Zalman LQ320
OS Drive: Kingston 240GB HyperX Predator PCIe Gen2 x4
Games Drive: 3TB Toshiba 7200RPM
Power: Chiefmax 680W PSU
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
Display: 21.5" Asus Monitor

These are the main specs of my computer, and before anyone says anything I know I do not need more then 8-16GB for gaming but I do video editing too so the extra memory helps. I need a card I can run that isnt going to break the bank but at the same time can run on at least medium settings & preferably if not 1080p then at least 720p.

Too much for 1080p

For 1080p the ulimate card is the gtx970 or radeon r9 390. For a bit lower but still 60fps at medium maybe even high settings is the r9 380x. For 720p a gtx 960 4GB/ r9 380 4GB is my reccomendation.

I don't see much point going over a 960 4gb or 380 4gb. Both of those games are cpu heavy and would expect anything over those cards to be held back by your cpu

A r9 380 will be the best considering your CPU
anything higher, your CPU will be bottlenecking it

Besides the gpu I suggest looking for a new PSU asap, your current unit is absolute garbage quality and is a risk of catastrophic system killing failure. Infact if its overvolting it will cause heat issues and if it worsens could cause a fire.
