CPU? Video card you have now? Or is it onboard graphics? Monitor resolution? Games you play and what settings are acceptable to you? Budget? We need as much info as you can give us.

You are going to be stuck with a pretty low end card with a 300w power supply. If you want a mid level card or better a new power supply will be necessary.

Ok here is a great power supply for $60.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094

That leaves you enough for a pretty good higher mid tier graphics card. If you want Nvidia the GTX 560 Ti and If you want AMD the HD 6950.

EVGA GTX 560 Ti. EVGA has the best warranty in the business and this card has their lifetime warranty. $235 after rebate.

XFX HD 6950. XFX also has a lifetime warranty. $240 after rebate.

As you can see here in the benchmarks the two cards trade blows depending on the game. The AMD is faster in some , the Nvidia is faster in others. You can compare other cards with this site's benchmarking comparison tool.

Here is a great article that may help you decide on a card if you do not like the ones I linked to. Worth reading either way.

I have the same exact computer as Moby34. I was wondering what kind of GPU i could put in my desktop with out swapping out the power supply.. So that leaves 300w and i want to use the GPU for Arma 2, Battlefield ect. At a decent frame rate so normal if not high graphics. Please i need the help! Also the monitor is DVI-D connection 1920-1080 resolution.
