Hello community,

I need your help.

Like the title says, I need the best video card (used or new) for my system, having the fact that I don´t want to spend more than $150 USD. There are a lot of vcards out there that I really don't know what to choose.

The previous card was a GTX 560 ti, but now it freezes when it gets into windows. I have tryed drivers, format and re install OS, another PC, etc, etc, it seems the card is broken.

I want to play the lastest games that have come out. I normaly play in 1080p, medium settings or above. It dependes on how smooth the game plays.

I have a coolermaster 212 for the CPU, but I don't know how to OC. Maybe I will do it with a guide, maybe not.

I do not intent to change anything else.

Monitor: LG 23" 1080p / 75 hz / 2ms
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Pro3-M
Intel i5 2500K (not OC)
SSD: Intel SSD 320 Series 160GB
HDD: Samsung 2Tb
RAM: Corsair Vengance 8GB DDR3 1600 CL9
PSU: ANTEC True Power 650 watts

Thank you very much for your help.

The difference between 1050 and 1050ti is not that massive... http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050/3649vs3650
It is pretty good for 1080p.

And the problem with those substitutes are...
> They are not current gen.
> Buying first hand at the price of 1050ti is not reasonable for old gen.
> Buying used requires stress testing on the spot for performance appraisal.

I would say, either get the 1050 or wait for stocks to replenish, as it will be a better bargain eventually.
Get this 1050ti... https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126170&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Just a bit over your budget but its worth the money. You should get good performance along with that 2500k.

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately the item is out of stock, and now its price is a bit higher.

Why vcards are getting expensive?

Maybe you could recomend used AMD or Nvidia that can match my system. I don't mind geting a used vcard.

An AMD HD 7970/7950 or similar like the R9 280s and 380s, or Nvidia GTX 960 or older GTX 770 would all get you into 1050 Ti range of performance. For the latest games at 1080p with medium settings or better and at anywhere near 60fps average you will need to be at this level at least. A 1050 or RX 460 or 560 won't be enough for that.
