Question Best video card for my old PC (price/performance) - it could be used or new

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade the video card on my old pc and am wondering what I should get based on the specs.

Current card: AMD Radeon HD 5700 series
Processor: Intel i7 860 @ 2.80GHz
Memory: 12288MB RAM
System/Motherboard: Gateway FX6840

Any advice on what card I could still get that would run on something like this?

Is there a website somewhere where I can upload my system specs for a list of compatible cards? Sort of like systemrequirementslab.com but for hardware instead of games.

Is the best card the gtx 1050 ti with 4GB of ram? (like here)

Just do not buy single fan cards.
Even 1060 would work without issue.

If you would re-use your GPU in next build, RX 480's should be dirt cheap nowdays.

The GTX 1050 Ti is probably the best card for that old of a CPU if you want to avoid CPU bottleneck. But the gfx card you can use will depend largely on the PSU that Gateway put in that PC.
