What powersupply do you have? Generally, I would suggest no more than a 1050ti for a core 2 quad.

Unfortunately, it doesn't. You can't use software to read what PSU you have, you need to physically look at it or find a list of specifications as this appears to be a prebuilt.

If this is the original, your upgrade options may be limited. The very basic GPU installed doesn't even hit 50W at load, which makes it likely they really cheaped out with the power supply. I've seen the PSUs in some of those old Packard Bells at 168W on the +12V rail, meaning that even a 75W GPU would be incredibly risky.

I ment what is the wattage of you powersupply. Software isnt going to tell you this but there should be a label on the side of the powersupply. Some cheaper power supplies cant handle power hungry graphics cards and may fail.

Packard bells are know for installing lower end power supplies that just barily scrape by with the components inside with no room to upgrade. You likely need to upgrade.
