Hi Guys

I was just wondering what you would recommend in the way of a video card for around $130. Primarily used for gaming and to send DVDs to my TV. There are lots of options like the ATI RADEON 8500 LE 64MB DDR or GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GeForce 2 TITANIUM Ti/500XP. Just seeing what you guys recommend. Thanks

Using
athlon XP 1700
crucial 256 PC2100 DDR
ECS K7S5A

AIW 7500 is working great for me sending stuff to my TV.

Of course, if you just want TV out and don't care about TV in then I would skip the AIW series and just get the "plain Jane" Radeon 8500.

I do not recommend any gForce card below the gForce 4, for the simple fact that gForce 3 and lower cards are unable to support 2 simultanious displays. They have TV-out and monitor-out, but both cannot be used at the same time. In other words, if you're watching a DVD movie ported to the TV then you won't be able to use the computer via teh monitor until teh movie is over.

I recommend the upcoming Geforce 4 4200 64mb version should be 160bucks in under a month and is faster than any ti500 and will do what cha want.

Athlon XP 1700+,KT266A,Geforce3, Audigy.. 'nuff said.
