I have the following and looking to replace my AGP 6600GT gfx card

Spec
Win XP
Asus P5VDC-MX microATX Mainboard
500 Gb Hard disk
2 Gb Ram
20" widescreen lcd

I have a pcie express slot on the mobo, so looking to get a new gfx card.

What are best options available?

This will get you by, but weakly so. If you are using only for multi-media it should be OK, but for gaming not so much.

if you are looking to game, build a new rig, if you are looking to turn your comp into an htpc then get a 5450

ATI 4650 DDR3, would work fine in your computer.

IF THAT'S THE SAME MOTHER BOARD I JUST GOT DONE LOOKING AT IT DOES NOT HAVE A PCI-E SLOT. IT HAS A PCI SLOT BUT NOT A PCI-E SLOT.

EDIT: PCI-E ( 1 ) SLOT IS USELESS

dont see why he couldn't use some of the old parts keep the PSU (possibly) HDD CASE and OPTICLE. Might even get away without a fresh install. I did that on a lenovo it was win 7 so I dont know if XP is more picky.

5450 is honestly one of the weakest discrete gpus you can have, really, if you are into pc gaming you can really build an affordable and powerful rig these days, there is a lot of value in many components these days so if you are so inclined, I would go for it, and if you give me a budget I can assemble a build and get back to you
