I am looking to replace my wireless system which consists of a Ruckus ZoneDirector 1100 and two ZoneFlex R700 access points.

I have no need for the WLAN controller but I want to make sure the access points work as the same wireless network. The WAPs also need to be PoE.

What would give me similar or better performance than the Ruckus? I am looking at Cisco Aironet as well as Linksys, and Netgear.

You may want to look at ubiquiti devices. These are very powerful devices that are not quite as fancy as the aironet but have a much lower price point. The controller software is free but again is not on the level of the cisco.

You likely will want the pro units...I think. They sell multiple kinds of so called PoE but only the top units really use the standard 802.3af
